Our purpose as a church is to encourage people in their journey as they move along the path in becoming fully devoted follower of Christ. What does being a fully devoted follower of Christ look like? The Bible paints a picture of a FDFC as someone who has personally made the decision to yield their own ambitions and ideas of how to live their life to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Becoming a FDFC does not come easily, the life path, which are the patterns and habits we have constructed to help us get through life are essential coping mechanisms that have helped protect us from a broken and messy world. Why would we abandon the path we have been on our whole life for a new path? The answer is surprisingly simple (although its implementation is difficult); our self constructed paths do not go anywhere!

I would like to welcome you to our community wide journey where we will be Moving Along the Path to becoming fully devoted followers of Christ. It is my prayer that you will commit to this journey of doing this daily devotional, joining a MAP Growth Group, participating in and watching the MAP video blog as well as engaging in the other MAP activities. This is an important time in the life of our church and your spiritual growth. I hope you will board the plane and soar.
